Past to Present Enchanted Day

Mark your calendar!

Lemuria Creations Presents:
Past to Present Enchanted Day
@ the Opera House

I'll be giving tarot readings in Fremont, Nebraska, Sunday, July 15, 10am-4pm @ the historical Love-Larsen Opera House, during John C. Fremont Days. Love-Larson Opera House
The theater was built by James Wheeler Love in 1888. In 1905 it was purchased by Louis P. Larson and renamed the L. P. Larson Opera House. The three-story brick and stone building is a landmark in the town of Fremont and is one of the largest opera houses still remaining in the United States. The first floor has always been used as a business location with the Opera House above. Seating capacity originally 1,100. The dark red brick with lighter sandstone trim is characteristic of the popular Romanesque Revival style. The Opera House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

May Updates: Heading into Summer

I’m happy to be back to business as usual, more or less, and I’ve resumed tarot readings, including personal private local readings. If you live in or near the Fremont, Nebraska, area, you can receive a personal reading with me by going to this page (click Here) and purchasing a private reading through the Paypal widget. After you’ve done that, call me to set up a date that will be convenient for both of us. You’ll find my number at this link.

*Note: readings must be paid for in advance, before I’ll set up an appointment. I’ve had too many people who have either forgotten a scheduled reading, or who have been ‘no-shows’. This wastes both my time and my gas.

I finally got the new "Steampunk Bleu" jewelry collection up at my website, click Here. This collection includes original designs from "Creations by Isabella". She's worked for months designing necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, all with the popular 'steampunk' theme; and this jewelry was literally selling as I'm putting it up-- two pieces have already sold, so I suggest you take a look soon if you're interested.

I've had so many requests for so long for magnetic healing bracelets, and I finally found a decent vendor for these items. There are two different styles of hematite magnetic enchanted bracelets. There are a variety of colors (accent beads) and a variety of enchantments; however, there are a limited number of bracelets. When you purchase one of these bracelets, be sure to let me know which color of accent bead you want, and you also get to choose what kind of enchantment you desire from the enchantments offered. ( If you have a special magickal need, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you to personalize the enchantment.) ...Click Here.

I'm pleased to say that my book, "The Gray Witch's Grimoire", is doing well and seems to be hitting a soft spot with a lot of gray witches and solitary witches out there. Thank you to everyone who's sent me personal messages. I may not have the time to answer every email coming in, but I read them all! If you like this book, please be sure to click the 'Like' button at Amazon. If you've read this book and you have something to say about it, you can submit a review at the Amazon page included in the link above. I appreciate all of the input I've received, it's the most rewarding part of writing, to know that you've made a 'magickal' connection with so many people on so many levels.

The following is an excerpt from the introduction to "Spells" in "A Gray Witch's Grimoire":

“…The spells listed here are all taken directly from my own Book of Shadows. I’ve carefully read through and decided upon a number of spells for a variety of intentions. I’ve chosen spells which have the spirit of the gray witch about them and that will fit with the energy of this book. Some of these spells are inspired by age-old traditions and others were birthed from my own imagination, desires, and intentions.

For those of you who don’t have the heart of the gray witch, some of these spells might make you cringe; but you’ll read transfixed, nevertheless, for the pull of the wild witch is strong within us all. Some of you have just tamed her, and others have allowed her to fly free.”

A Week of Magickal Energy

[Monday]

Every day of the week has an astrological connection, as well as corresponding energies with specific plants, stones, colors, etc. The magic involves becoming aware of these energies and correspondences and learning how to use them to manifest positive change in our lives. Monday’s energy is pure goddess magick, centering around the feminine, the third eye (brow) chakra, divination, second sight, and those issues keyed to this energy.

Planet: Moon

Color: silver, blue, gray

Herbs: bladderwrack, calamus, camellia, clematis, club moss, dulse, gardenia, grape, passion flower, jasmine, lily, lotus, moonflower, moonwort, myrrh, poppy, sandalwood, willow
Stones: aquamarine, chalcedony moonstone, mother-of-pearl, sapphire, quartz (clear)

Element: Water

Energies: magick for the goddess, healing, visions, dreams, intuition, divination, clairvoyance, women’s issues, motherhood, fertility

Today’s Magick: a healing candle for women with gynecological issues. Clear a special place on the kitchen table, your coffee-table, or a shelf. Set up a blue candle, surrounding it with at least one of the herbs or flowers from the list above. Place several corresponding stones around the base. Clear your mind of everyday chatter, focus on your intentions, and light the candle. Welcome the healing energy.

[Tuesday]

Tuesday’s energy is powerful no-nonsense, in-your-face, getter’ done energy. If there are issues in your life that you need the courage to resolve, this is the day to work on it. If you want and need to set specific goals for your life so that you can progress, tap into the energy of Mars.

Planet: Mars

Color: orange

Herbs: allspice, basil, blood root, cactus, chili pepper, dragon’s blood, garlic, ginger, holly, horseradish, mustard, nettle, onion, pepper, pine, radish, snapdragon, thistle, tobacco, wormwood

Stones: bloodstone, garnet, jasper (red), ruby, tourmaline (red)

Element: Fire

Energies: defensive magick, regaining lost territory, assertion, resolving disagreement, successfully handling disruption, goals

Today’s Magick: Setting goals and drawing in the energy needed to achieve them. You’ll prepare a space to set up a candle, as well as herbs/flowers and stones from the list above. Your candle for today will be orange. Sit down in a quiet spot and write down your goals, listing them by priority. Take some time to really think about these goals, and take some time to daydream about them, imagining that you’ve already achieved your aspirations. Fold this paper into a small square and place it beneath the orange candle. Clear your mind of everyday chatter, focus on your intentions, and light the candle.

[Wednesday]

Wednesday’s energy is my favorite; it’s all about communication and creativity. This is the perfect day to work on opening paths of communication that have been blocked and beginning new creative ventures. The energy of Mercury will inspire your muse on Wednesday, and your level of creativity will rise to new levels.

Planet: Mercury

Color: silver, yellow

Herbs: almond, bracken, caraway, clover, dill, fennel, flax, lavender, lemongrass, mandrake, marjoram, mint, papyrus, parley, pistachio, senna, slippery elm, wax plant

Stones: agate, jasper (mottled), citrine, topaz (yellow), amber

Element: Air

Energies: creativity-- writing, painting, sculpting, music, etc.; creativity, mental issues, learning energy, summoning spirits

Today’s Magick: Use the energy of Mercury to open the lines of communication by reconnecting with someone you’ve lost contact with, or by mending fences with someone you’ve had a falling out with. Prepare your writing area as though it’s sacred space. Set up a yellow candle with some of the herbs and stones from the list above. Write the name of the individual you wish to reconnect or reconcile with on a small piece of paper, and place this beneath the candle. Clear your mind of everyday chatter, focus on your intentions, and light the candle. Sit down, with pen and paper, and allow your thoughts and feelings to come through with sincerity. Let the spirit move you.

[Thursday]

Thursday’s energy hones in on the nitty-gritty of our material life and all the circumstances surrounding it that allow us to be successful, to live comfortably, to be productive members of our society. Connections to the judicial system are highlighted, as well as energy for growth on a number of levels.

Planet: Jupiter

Color: purple

Herbs: anise, borage, cinquefoil, clove, dandelion, dill, fig, honeysuckle, hyssop, liverwort, maple, meadowsweet, mint, nutmeg, patchouli, sage, star anise

Stones: aventurine, amethyst, mystic topaz, jasper (brown), peridot, malachite, tourmaline (green)

Element: Earth

Energies: magick for expansion and growth, money and legal issues, employment, abundance, material opportunities

Today’s Magick: Finding employment has become an issue for so many people during this time of economic instability. Thursday’s energy is absolutely perfect for zeroing in on this issue and moving things along with magickal momentum. Prepare a special place for a purple candle, surrounding it with some of the flowers, herbs, and stones from the list above. Sit down with paper and pen in a quiet spot and write down exactly what kind of job you want, what kind of work you’d like to do, your employment ‘wish-list’. Clear your mind of everyday chatter. Focus on your intentions, and light the candle. Set the sheet of paper on fire by the light of this flame and drop it into a fireproof container, allowing it to burn to ash. Take these ashes outdoors and release them to the wind, sending your energy out into the universe.

[Friday]

Friday’s energy is all about relationships. Not only is the planetary aspect for today centered around Venus, the spiritual energy is connected strongly to this deity as well. This is the perfect day to focus on bringing love into your life, strengthening the relationship you already have, or healing a relationship that’s suffered some wear and tear.

Planet: Venus Color: pink, green

Herbs: African violet, apple, apricot, aster, barley, birch, bleeding heart, cardamom, catnip, columbine, crocus, cyclamen, foxglove, geranium, goldenrod, heather, hibiscus, hyacinth, iris, larkspur, lilac, magnolia, willow

Stones: blue lace agate, moonstone, selenite, crystal quartz, chalcedony, rose quartz

Element: Water

Energies: magick for love and romance, sex, lust, passion, fidelity, beauty, resolving relationship issues, friendship

Today’s Magick: If the subject of fidelity is an issue in your marriage or relationship, you’ll want to prepare a green candle for today’s magick. Oil this candle lightly and roll it in nutmeg. Create your sacred space as usual, placing the candle in the center and surrounding it with flowers, herbs, and stones from the list above. Place a small slip of paper beneath the candle with the name of your partner written upon it. Clear your mind of daily chatter, focus your intentions, and light the candle. Sit down near it with paper and pen, and write a heartfelt letter to your partner: What do you want from this relationship, what are you willing to do to heal it. Express your deepest feelings. When you’re finished writing, touch this letter to the flame of the candle and drop it into a fireproof container to burn to ash. When everything has cooled, add the ashes, the wax from the candle, and a photo of your partner to a small green bag. Keep this charm in a safe place, where it won’t be disturbed.

[Saturday]

Saturday’s energy is on the dark side. It’s all about protection, the courage to stand up for yourself, and the idea of banishing people or circumstances that are holding you back and blighting your life. Saturday’s energy, quite frankly, hangs on the fringe and embraces gray magick.

Planet: Saturn

Color: black

Herbs: amaranth, beet, belladonna, boneset, comfrey, fumitory, hellebore, hemlock, hemp, ivy, knot weed, mimosa, morning glory, mullein, quince, skullcap, slippery elm, tamarisk, wolf’s bane

Stones: jet, onyx, apache tear, obsidian, tourmaline (black), coal, hematite

Element: Earth, Fire

Energies: protection, hexing/cursing, retribution, dark magick, revealing truth

Today’s Magick: Banishing that which is holding you back, whether it be a set of circumstances, and individual, or a group of people. Oil a black candle and roll it in ground cloves. On a slip of paper describe the circumstances you want dismissed; a specific individual that you no longer want in your life; or a group of people (an organization) which is causing you problems. Place this paper beneath the candle. Clear your mind of everyday chatter, focus on your intentions, and light the candle. When it has burned down, gather the candle wax and any remains from this spell. Place it all in a small black bag and dispose of it in some remote spot that is a fair distance from your property. You may want to scatter the remnants in to the wind, or toss it into moving water.

[Sunday]

Sunday’s energy is a contradiction, both soothing and healing, as well as powerful and overwhelming, geared to the god. Just as the planetary association is the Sun, brilliant and relentless, cleansing and nurturing, so is the energy you will call upon this day for healing, major life transitions, and spiritual revelations.

Planet: Sun

Color: yellow, gold

Herbs: angelica, bay, carnation, cedar, chamomile, eyebright, frankincense, ginseng goldenseal, juniper, marigold mistletoe, peony pineapple, rosemary, St. John’s Wort, sandalwood, sunflower, tea, witch hazel

Stones: amber, carnelian, diamond, sunstone, tiger’s-eye, topaz (yellow)

Element: Fire

Energies: magick for the god, male health issues, passion, healing, spiritual connection, transformation, relationship issues

Today’s Magick: Take advantage of Sunday’s energy for healing, healing of body, mind, and spirit. Clear an area and prepare a sacred space for your yellow candle, surrounding it with herbs and stones from the list above. On a small piece of paper write down exactly what type of healing you seek. Fold this paper into a small square and place it beneath the candle. Clear your mind of everyday chatter, focus on your intentions, and light the candle. Once it has burned down, add the candle wax, the paper, and some of the herbs and stones to a small green bag. Either keep this bag in a safe spot in your home, or bury this bag on your property.

Spring 2012 @ Our House

I've been working like a crazy woman this spring redoing garden spots, adding new garden spots, planting, mulching, planning, shopping, and creating. It's been a hoot, and I've loved the bonus of this early growing season. I've added several photos to a new garden slideshow, and I'll be updating this slideshow from time to time with new pictures. Welcome!...

Chakras & The Tarot

You can read tarot for the chakras, the seven main energy centers found in the human body and connected to physical organs and their functions. By doing so you will receive invaluable insight into not only your client’s emotional well being, but also their physical strengths and weaknesses, often revealing health issues which need to be addressed.

The Chakras
From the bottom up:

Root Chakra

Location: in the perineum, at the base of the spine

Organs: adrenal gland

Color: red

Element: Earth

Crystals/Stones: smoky quartz, bloodstone, ruby, hematite

Planet: Saturn

Astrological Connection: Capricorn

Positive Archetype: Mother

Negative Archetype: Victim

The root chakra is connected to our base primal instinct for survival. It encompasses the ancient wild side of our persona…the fight or flight instinct, the overpowering urge to sustain our life at all costs. It’s this chakra that comes into play when we feel threatened, when we are faced with a physical challenge, and when we come up against insurmountable odds. It is the strength of this chakra that pushes us to do whatever we must in order to survive.

Sacral Chakra

Location: two inches below the navel, two inches into the pelvis

Organs: ovaries/testes

Color: orange

Element: Water

Crystals/Stones: citrine, carnelian, tiger’s eye

Planet: Jupiter

Astrological Connection: Cancer, Scorpio

Positive Archetype: Emperor/Empress

Negative Archetype: Martyr

The sacral chakra enables us to enjoy pure unadulterated pleasure. This chakra is linked to the world of our emotions, our desires, and the fulfillment of whatever is found here. The sacral chakra connects to the ‘feel-good’ energy of the universe, and when it is working properly it allows us to experience pleasure without guilt. In a damaged state, this chakra can create all kinds of aberrations, with behavior and mental issues stemming from overwhelming guilt and the need to survive it.

Solar Plexus

Location: directly below the sternum

Organs: pancreas

Color: yellow

Element: Fire

Crystals/Stones: amber, topaz, citrine

Planet: Mars, Sun

Astrological Connection: Aries, Leo

Positive Archetype: Warrior

Negative Archetype: Servant

The Solar Plexus is connected to our ego, our self-worth, our inner strength, and our ability to stand up for ourselves and recognize our voice as valuable. This chakra enables us to make decisions with resolve; it celebrates our freedom of choice. The health of this chakra determines the amount of moxie you have.

Heart Chakra

Location: center of the chest

Organs: the heart

Color: pink, green

Element: Water

Crystals/Stones: pink rose quartz, aventurine, jade

Planet: Venus, Sun

Astrological Connection: Libra, Taurus

Positive Archetype: Lover

Negative Archetype: Cynic

The heart chakra rules our emotions and our ability to love, to love ourselves and to love others unconditionally. A healthy heart chakra allows us to feel fully compassion and empathy for all living things. A dysfunctional heart chakra renders us incapable of real love and leaves us stoic and cynical, unable to successfully connect in relationships of various kinds or on a variety of levels.

Throat Chakra

Location: the base of the throat

Organs: vocal chords, larynx

Color: light blue, turquoise

Element: Air, the ether (containing all energy)

Crystals/Stones: blue lace agate, turquoise

Planet: Mercury

Astrological Connection: Gemini, Virgo

Positive Archetype: The Communicator

Negative Archetype: The Mute

The throat chakra centers on communication, verbal communication, that which is sacred to us-- our voice. A healthy throat chakra allows us to express ourselves with fluidity and eloquence; a dysfunctional throat chakra renders us unable to communicate our thoughts successfully.

Brow Chakra

Location: between and slightly above the eyebrows

Organs: eyes, sinuses

Color: indigo

Element: Water

Crystals/Stones: lapis lazuli, sodalite

Planet: Moon

Astrological Connection: Sagittarius, Pisces

Positive Archetype: Wise-Woman

Negative Archetype: Intellectual

This is the chakra of the Third Eye, our intuitive center, the psychic aspect of our human existence. This chakra allows us to connect with the universe on a magickal level; this chakra allows us access to information and knowledge we would otherwise have no way of tapping into. When this chakra is not working correctly, our intuition is shut down, and with it the link to our inner selves.

Crown Chakra

Location: the top (crown) of the head

Organs: brain, spinal cord

Color: purple (violet)

Element: all four-- earth, air, fire, water

Crystals/Stones: amethyst, purple fluorite, alexandrite

Planet: the Universe

Astrological Connection: Aquarius

Positive Archetype: Priestess/Priest

Negative Archetype: Egotist

The Crown Chakra allows us to intellectually connect with higher powers. It allows us to tap into spirituality with an underlying understanding that we are part of a larger plan, a bigger picture. It connects us to the Source, also known as God, the Goddess, the All, Jehovah, and by many other names. It connects us to the creator as well as the creation.

Tarot: A Chakra Reading
From the top down:

Crown Chakra:

The Lovers, 9/wands, Queen/wands

Every relationship you’ve ever had, or attempted, has been negatively influenced by destructive patterns brought about by childhood experiences and possibly past life experiences. This has resulted in a disconnect with the spiritual side of yourself, and the spiritual side of relationships, and you cannot form successful love relationships that are grounded only in the physical realm. To remedy this and to insure success in future relationships, it’s imperative that you find the light and connect, whatever spiritual path you choose.

Brow Chakra:

10/wands, King/Wands ®, The Magician ®

The burdens of life and the control of an individual or a group of individuals in your life has caused a short-circuit with the intuitive side of yourself, and thus, with the most powerful aspect of your being. The key to repairing this disconnect with your psychic center is to regain control of your life, to become better organized on a variety of levels. Learn to delegate responsibilities, to regain control of personal decisions, and to embrace this inner power with confidence.

Throat Chakra:

8/cups ®, 9/swords ®, 2/cups ®

In your life you’ve suffered the end of a relationship with all the anxiety and emotions that come with it. The result is that your feelings of loss and anguish have overwhelmed your throat chakra, leaving you unable to voice your thoughts, to speak up in the face of confrontation or authority, in essence it has crippled you as far as communication is concerned. In order to recover your voice, figuratively if not literally, you are going to have to dissolve the lump in your throat and consciously clear the way for honest open communication.

Heart Chakra:

9/pentacles, King/cups, Page/cups

Your heart is open and ready for love, the real and solid kind that has staying power and often involves serious commitment. And as well it should be, for the Page tells us that the opportunity for a relationship is very close, if not already underway and in its early stages. The openness of your heart chakra will allow for the growth of all that could be wished for in a love relationship. Though your voice may be muted, your emotions are most certainly not, although this predicament can make progress difficult.

Solar Plexus:

Judgment, 3/wands, 6/swords ®

Your past, which stemmed around a very conventional somewhat strict upbringing, has negatively influenced your feelings of self-worth. You were judged harshly in the past by family or peers, and you tend to judge yourself too harshly today. It’s a vicious circle. I believe that you were also the victim of verbal abuse at some time in your past, abuse that was regular enough and harsh enough to damage this chakra. To remedy this, you have to reach deep and banish this negativity, learning to value and love yourself in the process.

Sacral Chakra:

The Hierophant ®, Page/swords ®, 5/swords

Again, the past reaches forth to touch the present. The very strict moral compass that you were exposed to in your younger years still reigns supreme in your life today. This causes you to experience unnecessary guilt and confusion in the present, most of which stems around sexuality and other areas of physical enjoyment, such as food and drink, or anything which brings physical satisfaction. This chakra is most likely blocked and needs to be cleared and re-energized. It is your Achilles heel.

Root Chakra:

Knight/cups ®, Temperance, The Moon ®

The strength of this chakra and it’s balance is what’s holding it all together for you. This is probably how you survived the verbal abuse, though scarred, survive you did. It has also led to two extremes in your personality, one is ineffectual and compliant; the other can actually be cutthroat and it’s operation is not surprising-- abused individuals often wind up becoming abusive individuals. You tend to act as you were taught, by example. The difference is that the chakras which were affected by the early trauma have actually kept your level of abuse low and often ineffectual. The real damage was done to yourself.
____________________

This individual has several problem areas within the chakras, which results in both physical and emotional manifestations. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are physical issues with the throat area, including recurring bouts of laryngitis, stuttering, tonsillitis, sore throats, repeated bouts of strep throat, etc. The solar plexus, sacral, and root chakras are the next most keenly affected, which can manifest in this instance as issues with sexuality, perhaps resulting in frigidity, impotence, confused sexual identity, an inability to accept or embrace their sexuality-- whether gay or straight, or even perversions of some sort, and this type of behavior would stem from extreme guilt and a confused effort to deal with it.
